BuildQAS was established because quality in construction was being measured inconsistently — or not at all. Developers couldn't reliably compare projects, contractors had no objective feedback, and end-users bore the cost of invisible defects.
We built a rigorous, repeatable system — adapted from Singapore's CONQUAS and Malaysia's QLASSIC — and brought it to developers and contractors across Asia as an independent assessment partner.
Today, every BuildQAS score is backed by documented evidence, photographic records, and a transparent methodology that any stakeholder can scrutinise.

The Assessment Process
Scoping
We agree on the units, areas, and functional tests to be included, calibrated to your project type and size.
Assessment
Our assessors inspect finished works at completion — internal finishes, roofing, water ponding, facade, and window water-tightness.
Scoring
Each element is scored against the BuildQAS benchmark. The final score is an objective, weighted aggregate.
Reporting
You receive a full report with itemised scores, photographic evidence, and benchmarking context against assessed peers.

Our Team
Meet the Founders

Ji Su Jian
Su Jian has more than ten years of experience in the construction industry. During his six years with Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA), he conducted CONQUAS assessments for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings across Singapore and Malaysia — completing 75 CONQUAS assessments and training sessions.
His expertise extends beyond assessment: Su Jian was a BCA auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other Singapore industry accreditation schemes for clients in Malaysia, China, Vietnam, and the United Kingdom.

Willie Koh
Willie conducted CONQUAS assessments across Singapore, Malaysia, and India during his four years with the BCA, alongside 25 CONQUAS training sessions. He was a BCA auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001, and evaluated newer productive construction technologies including prefabricated bathroom units and structural steel across four countries.
Before joining the BCA, Willie worked as a contractor specialising in cleanroom design and construction, operations and maintenance, and M&E works — giving him practical site-level insight that informs every assessment.
