BuildQAS Assessment at The Hub SS2 — Selangor Dredging Berhad (June 2018)

Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB), one of Malaysia's most quality-conscious property developers, engaged BuildQAS to conduct a comprehensive quality assessment of their landmark The Hub @ SS2 development in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

The Hub SS2 is the tallest building in the SS2 township, comprising a SOVO (Small Office Versatile Office) tower and shophouses — a mixed-use development demanding the highest standards of workmanship across multiple building types and usage categories.

Scope of assessment:

BuildQAS completed the assessment across two phases, covering all areas of the development. The scope included the full SOVO residential tower units, all shophouse units, common areas, external facades, and functional elements including water-tightness testing of windows, bathrooms, and roof areas.

Each unit was assessed against the BuildQAS scoring methodology — an independent benchmarking system adapted from Singapore's CONQUAS framework and Malaysia's QLASSIC standard, enhanced with expert evaluation of major functional issues such as water leakage.
